Cedar Glen Farm is a small farm that was established in 2002 by James and Lisa Dearden. Located in Goochland County, Virginia, the farm has about fruit trees, raised bed gardens, and we grow much of our own food, including vegetables, fruits, herbs and berries and have a small herd of dairy goats, a few rabbits and a flock of chickens.
We started Hooked on Alpacas in 2010 when we added 14 alpacas to our farm. Our herd has grown to include more than two dozen alpacas, and two guard llamas.
The alpacas produce beautiful fiber, which is processed into high quality yarn and rug yarn at Echo View Fiber Mill in North Carolina. Lisa teaches weaving classes using The American Peg Loom and weaves beautiful rugs from her rug yarn, as well as scarves, pot holders, place mats, table runners, etc. from yarn.
We have decided to decrease our herd, which means some very special deals for the right buyer. We have high quality Peruvian/Accoyo bloodlines that include Vengardor, Caligula, Silverado, and The Godfather. Give us a call if you are interested!
