Patagonia's Mondavi

Mondavi was selected as our herd sire to establish a baseline from the Dark Shaddow lineage.  He brings extreme density to a line of fine alpacas while holding the true black color.  Mondavi settles females usually the first time and is a good indicator if the female is not only receptive but ready to be bred.  Mondavi established his impact early on producing both grey and black.  Since arrival here we find density and fineness are the traits he is consistently applying to the breeding and tends to darken producing both black and bay black.
