Minka is one super special "CUTIE EXTRAORDINAIRE!"
Minka's color is bright and popular, but what stands out the most about this sweet, young female is her temperament. I asked her owner/seller how she would describe her in this department and she said, "Minka is very friendly. When I bend down to put grain in the bowls, she occasionally will rub her face on my face and allow me to pet her back. She follows me around and gets under my feet when I'm cleaning. She is very curious to see everything around her. New people who walk up to the fence or to our pet goats who walk around the yard, are always drawn to Minka. She plays with Rico (he is 1 month younger than her) and they follow each other around the pasture." When we watch Minka in her herd, we can readily see that as far as "pecking order" goes, she fits in with no problem. Says Doreen, "They all love her...She gets along well with the entire herd."

Minka, says Doreen, "doesn't mind being handled, and seeks attention." In fact, when I asked Doreen if there is anything outstanding (positive or negative) about Minka that she really felt should be disclosed about her, she said, "Her acceptance of PEOPLE." This is a wonderful trait for any suri alpaca to have, and I'm sure you'll agree...
Minka has not yet been halter trained but given her general nature and high intelligence, it is reasonable to expect that, as Doreen says, "she will be easy to handle. She handles vaccinations well, already."
