Raisin Kane is wholly owned by Pat and Bud Overmyer of Rustic Acres Alpaca Farm in Ohio. He's offered exclusively by Close-Knit Alpacas via The Secret Meadow. You may purchase him individually OR in an outstanding package at an "unspeakable" price only obtained within the private purchasing environment where new beginnings are born!
Kane is the product of Moonlight Annie (a White Peruvian dam out of a pairing of a white dam with a true black and white sire - 4Peruvian Renzo) and Sweet Foxfire Jax. Jax is a 4Peruvian Sheriff son in LIght Brown with Medium Brown in there, too. As you can see, Raisin Kane has some definitely intense color and pure suri!
I asked Bud and Pat to tell us a bit more detail about Kane from an experiential level. As far as his Production and Breeding qualities: "Kane breeds in 20 minutes, and the female is usually pregnant with the 1st time." This is terrific news, as it's always a benefit to have a stud who can settle females quickly and without incident. Kane's thus far sired one female and six males...
What stands out most about Kane? "His color and luster," responded Pat...."that and he has several ribbons, third and fourths." The sheen on Raisin Kane is impossible to overlook, and his ribbons simply confirm his quality via qualified judges in show rings amongst his peers.
Where does Kane fall in line in the "Pecking Order?" Bud says he's at the "Top;" however, one important thing you should know about Kane, that's not really a positive, is that he has an "inability to get along with other males." Pat and Bud further elaborated and tell us, "Kane is very easy going with people, though he fights with other males, so lives in a pasture alone."
I asked the Overmyers for a word to most succinctly describe him: "Gorgeous."
His teeth & nails grow more slowly than the average alpaca, requiring less maintenance than most.
Lastly, he halters, leads & cooperates with Health procedures, doing "Excellent."
