Our Boy Maverick

Maverick is true to his name,a maverick. Wonderful, straight conformation, shorter muzzle and a whole lot of wonderful tight crimpy, soft and fine fiber. He has very nice density and handle. His heritage is enviable coming from multiple color champions on both sides of his pedigree.

But here's what makes him a maverick. He won Color Reserve Championshps for Dark Brown in 2012 and 2013. He was going to be awarded with the championship in 2013 but the judge noticed a grey strand. So impressed, the judge says I'll give you the reserve but can't give you Championship as I found the strand.

Move forward to his last show where we took him out to see what he would do as a mature rose grey and he took Blue! So yes, Maverick fits his name and reputation.

He is a proven male with a cria on the ground from his prior owners and we have we had 3 incredible crias this year from him, two females and a male that we can't wait to get in the show ring next year. We bred him with our color reserve champ, Lola for a spring 2016 cria.

And what a cria he gave us, our Cassie a gorgeous medium rose grey who is about to start her show career.


He is a star in every respect.
