Monet is an older dam that has maintained her looks and fiber quality very well. She was the 1st place winner in Beige at the 2001 AOBA Nationals. Monet is known for producing high quality cria with lots of density, crimp and fineness, as well as excellent conformation. Unfortunately, she doesn't always produce color when bred to color. Having said that, she's produced two fabulous cria now when bred to gray, a black and a rose gray!
Monet's 2010 cria (Persey) out of SA Peruvian Grand Moreno is an irridescent white male. Persey has excellent conformation and extremely dense, crimpy, irridescent fleece. At three, he has grown up to have quite the herdsire presence.
Monet's 2011 cria (Starlight) out of our white herdsire JA Eisenhower, is a pretty white female. She has nice conformation and lovely, soft, crimpy fiber that is very dense.
Her 2012 cria (Horse) is a gorgeous true black male out of our light silver grey herdsire (Amego). Horse's fleece is very bright, very dense, and very fine with a long staple length. He took second place at the 2013 California Classic and a first at the 2013 Gold Country Gathering. We can't wait to see how he grows up.
We were so thrilled to get nice color from Monet, that we bred her to Skywalker's Justice for her 2013 cria. Justice took the Color Championship in brown at the 2010 Gold Country Gathering and also at the 2011 California Classic. That cria, Blizzard, is on the ground and alas he's white. But, he's displaying a very nice conformation and lovely, soft, really dense, popcorn fleece. Were anxious to see how he grows up.
Monet was once again bred to CMN Amego in the hope that she'd produce another cria in 2015 with Horse's lovely fleece and outstanding conformation. And Viola! she gave us a gorgeous rose gray girl! This cria has the most amazingly dense, crimpy fleece and very correct conformation we've seen in a cria! She sells with a free rebreeding to any Menagerie Hill Ranch owned Herdsire.
News Flash! The 2012 ARI EPDs are out. Monet's EPDs are showing a great ability to improve your herd by producing cria with finer and more uniform fleece with a higher staple length!
