Miss Dottie Rose is a sweet yearling female with outstanding conformation and a gorgeous fine, true black fleece.
Dottie has a strong pedigree full of color that includes Royal Incan Legend, Legend's Challenger, 4Peruvian Black Magic, Danko 532 and SA Peruvian Black Epic.
Dottie's sire is Alpaca Knight's Mr. Sparks, the multiple ribbon winner out of Legend's Challerger of KPR one of the "hottest" greys in the country. Challenger consistently throws show quality and champion cria. Spark's dam is also a ribbon winner herself and the daughter of 7x Champion SA Peruvian Black Epic. Sparks' fleece is so black it looks to have a tint of blue and is a rare non-fading black. He has certainly passed along these great genetics to Dottie.
Dottie's dam is VF Dot, who is known for her super fine fleece, making exquisite, high quality next to skin products. Dot's lineage includes the rare Danko, Rose Grey and Macintosh, the industry leaders in black award - winning offspring.
Dottie's fleece is the rare non-fading true black that is truly gorgeous. It is super fine with a medium crimp and feels smooth and soft with a buttery handle. Dottie's fleece has a high comfort level and will be good for hand spinners and knitters alike for next to skin products.
Personality wise Dottie has a friendly demeanor and is the first alpaca at the gate in the morning to greet her humans. She loves attention from both humans and her herdmates. She is not aggressive toward other females, and gets along well in the herd. She is halter trained and easy to work with.
Overall, Dottie's conformation is balanced and she is an average sized female in both weight and bone size. She has a balanced square stance that is even and conformationally correct.
Dottie will be a solid foundation female, that will be easy to maintain and breed. She is friendly and has great genetics to pass along to her future offspring. When bred to a herdsire who carries density with good crimp to compliment her fine fleece, she has a strong propensity to products show quality offspring - especially for the discerning breeder who wants to breed for black or grey offspring.
