Micahel Giavanni's Sir Gibson is an outstanding male, taking after his multiple award winning sire. He has strong genetics in grey and black and adds bone structure, color, fleece character and coverage to any dam he's bred to, and produces top notch cria.
Sir Gibson's sire is Michael's Giavanni or Gio who has caught the eyes of judges in every show he has entered. Judges have commented on his consistency, density and crimp style, and Gio has taken home multi-ribbons from shows such as Buckeye, National Champions and Michigan International. Gio is a fifth generation of black and gray and pushes color into his crias. Sir Gibson's grandsire Sterling Apocalypse, is also a multiple ribbon winning herdsire.
Sir Gibson's dam is Melodie's Lyric, a medium silver grey girl, who also consistently pushes her color, density and fleece character into her crias. Lyric herself is also a multi-ribbon winner. Other highlights in Gibson's lineage: Money Maker a multiple ribbon winning herdsire and Rhett Butler, a light silver grey, herdsire, and industry renown black and silver grey Black Magic and Silverado.
Outstanding Fleece! Gibson has a dark silver grey fleece that is uniform in color with no spots. His fleece is soft, with a nice handle, medium frequency crimp structure from skin to fleece tip and makes an exquisite yarn. Gibson averages 3-4 pounds of prime fleece just from his blanket.
Sir Gibson's conformation is ideal. He has a square structure with 1/3 balance of neck to head and body to legs. He is a medium to large sized male with average weight, and average bone size. He has a solid build and strong presence. He also has a very calm personality. He is a leader, but also calm in the herd, unless challenged, then stands his ground. His breeding behavior is relaxed, yet confident; he can be a gentleman but has the size and strength to take a dam down if necessary. He is very easy to handle before and after breeding sessions.
Sir Gibson is a truly a pleasure to work with and handle. He is easy to halter and lead, is curious around people and good around children.
Sir Gibson's first progeny arrived in 2015: Sir Gibson's Stratocaster; a true black male, DOB: 6/28/15 and Sir Gibson's Rhapsody; a Silver Grey, female, DOB: 7/21/15. Both crias have strong color genetics, and are healthy and strong, as well as high potential in the show ring.
Overall, Sir Gibson brings proven high quality color genetics and adds desirable fleece characteristics to any dam, produces outstanding show quality cria, is easy to handle, and would be an exceptional herdsire to add to any breeding program.
