The deck was stacked in Aston's favor at conception. His sire, Ferrari, is one of very few FAWN full Accoyo Caligula sons, giving Aston some pretty powerful genetics. Rounding out his pedigree are a range of power-players in the full spectrum of colors - Hemingway, Victor, Augusto, Nic Nac and 4P Black Magic. These are mighty big shoes to fill and he is living up to his potential.
He has a spectacular head, perfect proportion and bite and, of course, there's that fleece, exhibiting high frequency, high amplitude crimp from skin to tip with fineness and brightness. His strongest points are his uniformity of micron and long staple length.
The judges have all agreed too. He placed 1st at the largest alpaca show in the world as a juvenile and his record was very consistent as a yearling too.
He is breeding and has produced a strong and striking classic ROSE GREY son we are proud to add to our herd (see Emelise's Hullabaloo) as well as several dark offspring for clients. Aston's dam, argueably our strongest foundation female, has given us black when bred to black, grey when bred to grey and fawn or brown when bred to fawn or brown. We expect the same to go for Aston and are putting it to the test. More cria are expected this year. We are so pleased with his production, we would like to discuss the possibility of retaining a few breedings should he stay in the east.
