Gilda first impressed us when we saw her at auction several years ago. We were quite upset when we werent the winning bidder, and kept in touch with the sellers. As it winds up, the winning bidder was not able to fulfill the terms of the contract. Gilda went back home to be sold at auction again. I was contacted and told about this turn of events and attended the auction. I was just as impressed as I was a few years before and, this time, I was lucky enough to take her home.
Since then Gilda has given us amazing offspring. She is very easy to breed, has never needed assistance in birthing and is a PHENOMINAL mother. She has been seen propping her newborns between her front legs and walking them along until they are ready to solo.
She is phenotypically stunning, as are her cria. Gilda has a beautiful head, regal presence, perfect proportion, solid straight legs and lovely vicuna markings.
Gilda is one of the most laid-back alpacas we will probably ever own. Nothing seems to get to her. This easy going temperament and her production record have helped us decide that we should allow another farm to enjoy Gilda and what she can add to their program as well. She would be an EXCELLENT purchase for a beginning breeder. Of course, experienced breeders will appreciate just how nice it is to have a female like Gilda in the barn.
Gilda will sell bred to your choice of Emelise Alpacas herdsires. Nevada, Cameron, Spittin' Image, Aston & Champ are all great choices if you desire color. Want white? Go with Tiburon, Rennsalaer or Tectonic Shift.Emelise's Valletta is the result of pairing our World Champion Jeremiah son, Nevada with Patagonia's Alera. a true black Neruda daughter. She was one of the first crop of Nevada cria to hit the ground and she did not disappoint! Her deep, rich sable coloration, fine, fine fleece full of crimp with handle and brightness galore were just what we were banking on. Now for step 2, breeding her to our superstud, CCNF Cameron whom we proudly co-own with our friends the Lutz family at Cas Cad Nac Farm. Having true black dam, from before she was born, we expected that if she was indeed born female, she would be become part of Cameron's harem and she did! She has been exposed to Cameron. FIngers crossed! Now comes the agonizing wait for what we expect to be a show winning cria to be born next fall.
Gilda is featured in our November promotion featuring our open females, most of which are either champions/ribbon winners themselves or bred from champions. Choose the herdsire with whom you would like to breed her, make a reasonable offer, select your financing terms and let's negotiate a deal that best suits us all. This is a fabulous opportunity to diversify your genetics with some truly remarkable foundation females.
Contact us for photos or more info. Better yet, come meet Gilda for yourself, but you better bring your trailer you wont want to leave without her!
