Babette is a big girl with a personality to match! She is a lovely bay black who we can count on to give us sizable offspring carrying the fiber qualities of the sire.
Her 2010 cria, Las Bonitas' Santana, is nicknamed, "Bear" due to his massive size as a cria; he absolutely towered over his 'cria class' in height, weight, and sheer volume! Thus is repeated yearly with Babette's offspring.
Babette produces show ring winners, and progeny with exceptionally fine fiber. Her son, Santana, was awarded 2nd place at the 2012 TxoLAN Spectacular under Judge Amanda VandenBosch who appreciated his good substance, broad chest, even fleece and good amount of fiber.
Babette has been bred to gorgeous Las Bonitas' Primo,a fawn MFI Brock son/ Zephyrus grandson; his fleece is very bright, dense and consistent with a lovely high frequency crimp on a nice long staple with a great buttery feel. Just look at his fleece! Primo was awarded 1st place at GWAS 2013 Fleece Show and at AOBA National Fleece Show Las Bonitas' Primo scored 19/20 in fineness and handle and 2nd place in light fawn with the comment, "Very fine & soft" from judge Peter Kennedy. 2 year fleece stats include an AFD of 17.4 with an SD of 3.9!
Babette is very low-maintenance, gives birth easily and is a very attentive mother who has plentiful milk. She is capable of producing white. She will be a great asset as a foundation female as she passes on her easy personality and size as well the sire's sought after conformational and fleece qualities.
