Buffy Sainte-Marie is a lovely dark fawn experienced female with wonderful handle. She has a lovely short muzzle, great topknot and perfect conformation. Her disposition is exactly what we strive for at Rock Ridge, greeting us with the best alpaca smile every time!
There is loads of color and royalty in her background, with a dam that is True Black from the Silversmith line, and her Sire Chipchiy's Apu is of Hemingway and Royal Fawn heritage.
Her cria are also outstanding. Buffy was bred to our ribbon winning fawn herdsire of Timoteo heritage, Jupiter Rising, and gave us Acadia, a lovely DF female cria in 2009. When Buff was bred to DiMaggio who is a "perfect phenotype" according to judge, Wade Gease, their Sept 2010 cria, Roxana, was a lovely, crimpy bright fawn cria. When bred to MFI Peruvian Formula 1, we got another exceptional cria in 2012, ROC's Monte Carlo.
Buffy delivered her Color Champion Grande's Grand Prix's (service sire) cria, Maximo on Sept. 3, 2013. He has gorgeous fiber, crimp, and is super soft. We expect him to surpass and replace his sire and be a multiple ribbon winner. Maximo is not included in Buffy's price.
