Storm Warning was born in the middle of a day of severe thunderstorms, but was up and running in the barn in record time. This little boy carries the genetics of dark rose grey, deep purple-maroon, and red-maroon. His sire is WP Felipi, known for his retained fineness and density. His sire's background includes 2P Angel (black), and his dam, Starlight, has 5P Daric (dark brown) as his grandsire, and Claytonite (rare purple-maroon) as his sire. He sports beautiful independent locks with a high degree of luster all the way to the skin. He is a complete conformation and fiber package with a showy, upright stance and uniform fiber. At 9 months of age, he sheared a 2.2 lb blanket - a nice weight for such a young guy.
NEWS FLASH!!! Storm Warning was awarded COLOR CHAMPION - BROWN SURI FLEECE at the 2013 AOBA National Show AND the 2013 Mapaca Jubilee Show. This is his 3rd Color Championship at the largest fleece shows in the country. The judges have confirmed the outstanding quality of his fleece characteristics!
It gets even better as Storm Warning in now proven with his first cria on the ground in July 2013. He was bred with a full Accoyo white female, WRSR Accoyo Tempest, and she produced a gorgeous white male. We thought his sire was our Accoyo Baccarat, but surprise, this lovely high luster and very fine cria is the offspring of Storm Warning. The cria is very healthy, doubling his weight in 30 days, and has that great show ring presence and attitude, even at this young age.
