We admit it, we've been hiding this one! Shimmer took her own sweet time to mature (those full Accoyos can make you wait!) and we weren't certain we were in love, a hard thing for us to admit as she is out of our favorite full Accoyo female. When we bred her last year we knew we liked everything we saw.
Shimmer is out of full Accoyo Avasha, a Royal Avenger daughter and Accoyo Tiburon, an El Nino son. What's not to like with that pedigree.
She has perfect conformation in a compact package. Weighing in at 120 pounds she's not a big girl. She does have amazing bone and is otherwise spot on. We love her amazing coverage and very true to type huacaya look.
Her fleece has a long staple length and a very consistent bold crimp. She has a lovey brightness to her fleece that contributed to her name. She does have a couple of medium brown (yes, I said brown not fawn) spots on her blanket and leg. They are not immediately noticeable but there if you look. We take this a sign that she carries color.
Her shear weight continues to be excellent with over 8lbs total weight each year. That's impressive for a girl that weighs in at 120lbs!
She has produced two offspring to date, a stunning male, which was sold and a beautiful fawn female.
