Moments after hitting the ground, Jaguar sped through our alpaca pastures. Almost at birth the precocious daughter of Sargent Pepper (a Macgyver son) from Alpacas of the Bluegrass, jumped up and began scooting around and away from her dam, Alibi, (a Sergeant Major Jax daughter).

With her dark brown fleece reflecting a maroon luster, Jaguar embodies the beauty of the Suri phenotype and racily, provocatively flaunts the elegance of her pedigree accentuated by the exotic dark markings around her eyes and nose. If she inherits the mothering instincts of her dam, she will be a truly extraordinary breeding female.

Jaguar is also a very well proportioned alpaca with great conformation and straight legs and spine. She also has spectacular fleece that is reddish brown, shiny and has a nice handle, while feeling very fine. Her pencil lock is not as defined a show judges would like, but still exceptionally beautiful fleece.

Jaguar was shown once and earned a 3rd place ribbon at the Indiana Alpaca Invitational in 2011.

Jaguar is a little nervous around humans but is a good alpaca herd mate. She is much more independent when she is away from her mother.

Jaguar's full Peruvian ancestry, her shiny gorgeous fleece, and her fun, elegant personality make her an exceptional addition for any breeding program. She will be a great foundation dam, especially in a colored breeding program.

Jaguar has never been bred.

Because of closely related genetics in our herd, we are willing to trade similar quality Suris for Huacayas to maintain a purely Huacaya herd. If you are interested in Jaguar, please give us a call today.
