Oh, my!! Our little Chayo has suddenly seen testosterone and grown up!! He looks like a real "macho" in the pasture, with strong bone and that "perfect square" compact conformation that he gets from his AOBA champ sire, Justice for All. My Goodness! Such beautiful fleece--the judges love the uniformity, fineness, and very long staple length, thanks to his heritage from Accoyo Victor. A good fawn junior herdsire--isn't that what we all need? His OpenHerd Auction Herdisre price is for a drive-by breeding at Alpacas of Marin in the North San Francisco Bay area.
Breaking News--Chayo is a Multi-Champion!! He took the color championship at the California Classic in 2011 in a very competative field, and he took Reserve Color Champion at AlpacaMania 2011! The judges love his density, crimp, handle, and consistency.
And at 2 1/2 years, our Chayo stills "has it"--he just took another blue ribbon in full fleece halter at the 2012 California Classic (no championship class)!
Chayo's first cria is a lovely light female, with long, silky bundles and very good density.
Chayo sells with 2 breedings reserved for seller's use--we don't want to lose track of this boy...
Chayo has come to Alpacas of Marin in the North San Francisco Bay area. He is a sweet boy who is easy to handle and will eat pellets from your hand. And he still has his dam's ears with the long, draping hairs like a flag flowing in the wind! Now that I finally have my alpacas on my farm, I am reminded of a phrase said about dogs and vanilla ice cream: "Reliably Delicious". Chayo is "Reliably Delicious", and I will miss him when he sells.
