Basil Hayden of Rock Ridge is a stunning, multiple blue ribbon winning dark rose grey male with renowned full Peruvian Captain Nemo genetics, an excellent temperament, intelligence, attitude and fantastic conformation and fleece.

Basil's heritage is nothing short of exceptional, especially for a rose grey. His family tree includes Captain Nemo, 5Peruvian Santana, Don Perlas, and Don Timbo. Basil's sire, the famous Captain Nemo is a Full Peruvian, solid dark rose grey. Nemo has it all...color, fineness, crimp, charisma, presence, and attitude!! Nemo's fleece (18.6 micron 2006) has a uniform fine handle and crimp. Nemo has consistent grey fiber throughout his blanket.

Basil's grandsire sire, 5Peruvian Santana, is an AOBA 2000 Blue Ribbon winner in halter competition and the AOBA 2003 and 2004 Blue Ribbon fleece. Basil's granddam Dona Perlas is also a multiple ribbon winner. Dona was the 2001 PAOBA Breeders Showcase Reserve Color Champ for grey females. Dona's sire is 6Peruvian Dom Timbo 5042, a superb dark silver grey hersire owned by Magical Farms.

Basil has inherited the best from parents and grandparents alike with impeccable fiber, conformation and presence. Basil's fiber is exquisite in both fineness and crimp, coupled with excellent density. He has a wonderful dark rose grey color, his fiber also has a fine, yet high frequency crimp. He has good strong straight bones and stands with a firm presence. He has a great head with a nice short muzzle. And as a Nemo son, Basil has a distinct stamp like his father, in look and attitude.
